Honest Concert Journal

Editorial policy

Honest Concert Journal aims to be clear about what it knows, what it is discussing and how readers can raise a concern. Our articles are written to inform and invite thoughtful listening, not to claim that one response to music is the right one.

Accuracy and clarity

We take care with factual statements, explain useful terms and distinguish general context from personal preference. We do not invent sources, experiences or credentials. When a subject calls for current or specialised information beyond our scope, we avoid presenting a general article as a substitute for it.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for their value to readers. A commercial relationship does not buy favourable coverage, control over independent editorial work or a guaranteed recommendation. We aim to make the nature of any relevant relationship clear.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or unclear passage, contact us with the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and update published material when a change is warranted, making significant corrections clear to readers.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner-supported material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that applies, we identify them as AI-generated and do not present them as documentary photographs.
